A new event venue called the itison HUB has recently opened in Glasgow city center. This venue, which was created by the major event producer itison, underwent a £750,000 refurbishment to become a state-of-the-art creative space.
The itison HUB is equipped with impressive features such as a 30m indoor running track, a large video wall, a full-service bar, an in-house gym called FITISON, a lounge area, quiet spaces, and a games zone. Additionally, the venue has a sophisticated lighting and sound system that can transform the space from a screening room to a nightclub.
The concept for the HUB was developed by itison’s CEO Oli Norman and the interior design was done by the award-winning company Surface-ID. Grant Anderson, known for his work in theatre and outdoor events, was responsible for the lighting design.
itison’s headquarters is located on the floor above the HUB and was awarded Scotland’s office of the year in 2018 after a significant refurbishment. The headquarters features a stocked bar, a Pilates studio, a giant hot air balloon, and a fireman’s pole.
Oli Norman, the CEO of itison, expressed excitement about the new venue, stating that it will elevate the space to the next level. He mentioned plans to host free networking and social events in the upcoming months to showcase the HUB to different businesses and local communities.
The opening of the itison HUB came after Soho House decided to cancel its plans to establish a presence in Glasgow. This new venue promises to be a hub for creativity, collaboration, and community engagement in the heart of Glasgow city center.
