Dr. Punam Krishan, a Glasgow GP, recently had to bid farewell to her dream of participating in Strictly Come Dancing as she was the fifth celebrity to be eliminated from the show after a dance-off against Shayne Ward on Sunday.

Despite being voted off, Punam expressed her pride in herself for stepping out of her comfort zone and taking on the challenge of learning how to dance. She mentioned that the experience taught her the importance of saying yes to new opportunities and continuously learning new skills throughout life.

Throughout her time on the show, Punam emphasized that she not only learned how to dance but also gained valuable lessons from her professional partner Gorka Márquez. She mentioned that the support and kindness she received from everyone involved in the show created memories that she will cherish forever.

Working as a GP in an East End practice, Punam shared that her family was incredibly proud of her for pursuing her dream of being on Strictly Come Dancing. She expressed gratitude for the friendships she made on the show and the kindness shown to her week after week.
