A restaurant in Glasgow is marking its fifth anniversary by giving away 100 free burgers. El Perro Negro on Woodlands Road is celebrating with a special promotion for one day only. The first 100 customers who visit the restaurant on Saturday, October 19 will receive a free Oklahoma Smash burger, which includes a juicy smash patty with finely sliced onions, gooey burger cheese, and house pickles.
For those who miss out on the free burgers, the Oklahoma Smash will also be available as a special all weekend on Saturday, October 19 and 20. In addition to the free burger giveaway, El Perro Negro is launching limited edition merchandise, including t-shirts featuring designs by renowned graffiti artists Ciaran Globel and Conzo Throb. These t-shirts will be available for purchase at the Woodlands Road restaurant for £26.
This celebration comes after El Perro Negro won their fourth accolade at the National Burger Awards. They recently competed in the ‘Champion of Champions’ event in September, alongside 30 other past winners from the last 10 years. Founder Nick Watkins cooked live for the judges and was awarded the runner-up position.
Nick Watkins expressed his gratitude for the support they have received over the past five years, stating that it has been an incredible journey of serving some of Glasgow’s best burgers. He mentioned winning awards, collaborating with amazing chefs and brands, and sharing their love for great food with the city. Looking ahead, Nick said they are excited to see where the next five years will take them.
The birthday celebrations at El Perro Negro promise to be a fun-filled event for both loyal customers and new visitors. With free burgers, special menu items, and exclusive merchandise, the restaurant is pulling out all the stops to thank the community for their support over the years. Whether you’re a burger enthusiast or simply looking to enjoy a delicious meal, El Perro Negro’s birthday festivities are not to be missed.
