A new wine bar, eatery, and bottle shop are coming to Great Western Road, folks! The team behind Bar Brett has spilled the beans about The Caravan Shop, slated to open on May 2 — just in time for the bank holiday shenanigans.

In an Instagram post that was shared, the team spilled the tea, saying: “It’s not really sure why this matters, but we actually had the name for The Caravan Shop decided before we even started the business. Weird, right?

“For the past three years, this wee unit has been all sorts of things – from a crucial storage spot for Brett and our other joints to a temporary home for the old Cail Bruich before it got a facelift.

“After loads of plans, clear-outs, and changes, we’re finally ready to spill the beans on what comes next.

“The Caravan Shop is gonna be a wine bar, eatery, and bottle shop — a spot to grab a drink or a nibble before or after hitting up Brett, a place to come if you’re feeling nostalgic for the good ol’ days when Brett was just a bar, somewhere to enjoy a pint in the sun, or to snag a bottle to take home.

“We can’t wait to have you over.”

Operating mainly as a wine shop, the venue will also offer indoor seating where you can kick back and enjoy a glass of wine or beer with snacks like charcuterie, cheese boards, and pastries.

They’ll be open seven days a week until midnight, although the opening hours might change on a whim.

Aperitivo hours? Oh, you betcha! They’ll be running from Monday to Friday from 4pm to 6pm, Saturdays from noon to 4pm, and Sundays until they run out of goodies, featuring snacks for £1.50 and spritzes for £7.

And get this — pints of Guinness are gonna be just £4.50. Can you believe it?

So, mark your calendars, peeps! The Caravan Shop is about to shake things up on Great Western Road, and you won’t wanna miss out on the fun. Cheers to new beginnings and good times ahead!
