Elanic Hospital Glasgow is set to open its doors in September, located in the city centre on Bath Street at the former Royal Bank of Scotland site. The building, which has been unused since the bank’s closure, has undergone nearly two years of construction by Redpath Construction for Elanic Medical.
The 15,000 sq ft hospital boasts some unique design features, including two state-of-the-art operating theatres equipped with laminar flow technology inside the former bank vault. Additionally, a smaller operating theatre has been installed for procedures, and patients requiring overnight stays can choose from five air-conditioned ensuite bedrooms.
Other facilities at the hospital include 12 recovery bays, consulting spaces, X-ray provision, and 24-hour medical cover. Patients can book consultations online through the hospital’s website.
Managing director Kristian Campbell expressed excitement about the hospital’s progress, highlighting the team’s dedication to providing personalized and patient-focused care. The hospital aims to address long waiting times for elective procedures and provide convenient access to high-quality healthcare for those in need.
With its central location near major transportation links and businesses, Elanic Hospital Glasgow is poised to treat up to 60 patients a week. An additional 12 patients will be treated at the cosmetic surgery clinic on the ground floor, offering a range of services to meet various healthcare needs in the community.
