Rangers are gearing up to face Dynamo Kyiv in the second leg of their Champions League third-round qualifier, but there are some uncertainties looming over the team. Leon Balogun, who picked up a knock in the last game against Motherwell, may not be available for the match. The centre-back felt an issue towards the end of the match and did not participate in training on Monday, leaving his involvement in the upcoming game in question.

Manager Clement expressed his concerns, stating, “We have one doubt for tomorrow, Leon Balogun felt something at the end of the match – he didn’t train today. It is about making the choices tomorrow on who needs to start after a quick turnaround.”

On a positive note, Hamza Igamane, who joined Rangers in the summer, is making progress in terms of his fitness. Although he has not made an appearance for the team yet, Clement mentioned that Igamane is displaying promising signs in training and is also working on improving his English language skills. Additionally, Clinton Nsiala, another summer signing from AC Milan, is back in full training with the team.

“Hamza (Igamane) is doing parts of training now,” said Clement. “Step-by-step he is reaching the physical levels we need. He is showing a lot of interesting things with the ball and starting to learn the language. Clinton (Nsiala) is in full training.”

As the team prepares to take on Dynamo Kyiv, the absence of Balogun could pose a challenge for Rangers, but the progress shown by Igamane and Nsiala in training offers some reassurance. Fans will have to wait and see how the team lineup unfolds for the crucial match against the Ukrainian side.
