The Glasladies Beer Society has revealed the exciting lineup for its upcoming festival, Beer is for Everyone. Taking place on November 16 at the Drygate Brewery in Glasgow from 2pm to 9pm, this event is part of the society’s fifth-anniversary celebrations.
Breweries from Glasgow such as Simple Things Fermentations, Dookit Brewing Co., Overtone, and Up Front Brewing will be showcasing their best brews at the festival. Joining them will be renowned names like Fierce Beer and Fyne Ales.
Visitors can look forward to voting for the Best Festival Beer and even the Best Festival Dog. It’s a unique and fun way to engage with the breweries and enjoy some friendly competition.
Adding to the excitement, Lost & Grounded Brewers and The First & Last Brewery from England will be in attendance, along with Edinburgh’s Closet Brewing making its debut at the Glasgow festival.
For those looking for something different, Jump Ship Brewing, the Small Brewery of the Year at the 2024 Scottish Beer Awards, will be offering a selection of low/no ABV beers. And for cider enthusiasts, Aeble Cider, Scotland’s first cider bottle shop, will be running a cider bar at the festival.
Organizer Jennifer D expressed her enthusiasm for the festival, especially highlighting the community aspect. She mentioned that previous events had seen attendees bringing their dogs, adding a special charm to the atmosphere. The Best Festival Dog competition aims to attract more beer and dog lovers, creating a fun and light-hearted experience for everyone involved.
In addition to the beer and dog festivities, festival-goers can also take part in a fundraising raffle. All proceeds from the raffle will go to support Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH) and The Women’s Centre in Glasgow. Donations for the raffle are still being accepted, and tickets for the festival are currently on sale.
