Dundee manager Tony Docherty is hopeful that Josh Mulligan will stick around at Dens Park even after the summer. The 22-year-old, whose contract ends soon, has been catching the eye of Rangers and some clubs in the English Championship. Ibrox folks have been keeping an eye on the midfielder, who can also do a solid job at right-back, possibly looking to sign him on a free transfer. His buddy Lyall Cameron has already said yes to joining Rangers in the upcoming season, but Mulligan’s situation is still up in the air. Docherty really wants to keep Mulligan on the team and he’s crossing his fingers for a positive outcome. As reported by the Daily Record, Docherty said, “We won’t be giving up hope on Josh staying with us because you always wanna hang on to your top players. We kicked off the season with Luke McCowan, Cameron, and Mulligan, and all three have really stepped up their game, getting some attention. It’s crucial for us here at the club to help our players grow and get better. It’s fantastic to see them flourish, and for however long Josh is with us, we’ll keep on working with him. Hopefully, we’ll be able to keep working with him for a while longer.”
