Their victories over teams like Nice, Malmo, and FCSB added further payments of €450k each, totaling €1.35m thus far. Additionally, the draw against Olympiacos saw Rangers earn an extra €150k.
With three more Europa League matches to go in the league phase, Rangers still have the opportunity to earn more bonuses for any wins or draws against upcoming opponents like Tottenham, Manchester United, or Union Saint-Gilloise.
Furthermore, Rangers are aware that they will receive a certain amount of money from UEFA based on their ranking in the league phase. The minimum payment guaranteed is €75k, with this figure increasing for every spot higher in the league table.
When strictly considering the guaranteed money earned by Rangers so far (without estimating the final league phase rank), the total amount comes to €5.885m (£4.9m).
In addition to the guaranteed earnings, there are potential additional payments based on performance in the league phase. Teams ranking from 1st to 8th can expect €600k (£500k), while those ranking from 9th to 16th may receive €300k (£250k). The amount of at least €75k increases by the same figure for every position above the bottom in the league phase.
Moreover, there are further bonuses for teams qualifying for different stages of the Europa League, such as the knockout round play-offs, round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final. The UEL winners could potentially receive an extra €6m in addition to their other earnings.
