Filming for the highly anticipated season two of the hit drama series, The Buccaneers, has officially commenced in Glasgow’s Kelvin Way. The first season, initially named Debutante, was filmed in Glasgow city centre for 10 days back in July 2022. This drama series is based on Edith Wharton’s final and unfinished novel, The Buccaneers, set in 1890s New York.

Our photographer, Colin Mearns, captured some stunning shots of the cast and crew as they brought the historical drama to life on the streets of Glasgow. The images showcase both children and adults dressed in Victorian attire, some carrying old-fashioned umbrellas and strollers to stay true to the time period of the show. Additionally, food carts offering Hot Frankfurters were seen on set, adding to the authenticity of the filming location.
