Crystal Palace is currently in talks with Galatasaray for Wilfried Zaha’s potential return to Selhurst Park. The Turkish giants have made the 31-year-old winger available for a transfer. Zaha initially joined Galatasaray from Crystal Palace in 2023 and has since made 30 appearances for the club, scoring nine goals. However, he was not included in the squad for the recent match against Hatayspor.

At the moment, a loan deal seems more likely than a permanent transfer for Zaha. Talks between the two clubs have been brief, and there are obstacles to overcome, such as Zaha’s high wages and the potential loan fee. Crystal Palace has already lost winger Michael Olise to Bayern Munich in a £50m deal, and there are rumors linking Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze with moves away from the club.

To fill the void left by Olise, Crystal Palace signed Ismalia Sarr from Watford. However, the club is still looking to add another winger before the transfer window closes. Newcastle United has had a bid for Guehi rejected, as the Eagles value the player at around £65m. Guehi has impressed with his performances for England during Euro 2024, and he still has two years left on his current contract.

Newcastle considers Guehi a priority signing due to his versatility in different positions. The summer transfer window in 2024 will close on August 30 at 11pm UK time for the Premier League. The deadline has been aligned with other major European leagues to facilitate smoother transfer dealings. Crystal Palace will face Brentford in their first Premier League match of the season on August 18, live on Sky Sports.
